No Grandstanding, Just Hard Work

It takes most people a little time to grow into being a great state representative. Being willing to listen to people and respond to their needs is really helpful. Having served on community projects you’re passionate about is a big plus.

But perhaps most important is simply being ready to do the work — dive deep on your committee issues, participate in meetings and conferences around the state, learn from experts and your colleagues, figure out what’s really possible, and then make it happen. No grandstanding, just hard work.

That’s Robin Comey.

Robin is a stalwart on education issues, and she’s helped deliver some of the most far-reaching support for children’s mental health in the nation plus millions of dollars for investments in child care and school readiness.

Robin understands the difficult economy we live in, and she supported a balanced budget that delivered the largest tax cut in Connecticut’s history, paid down more than $5 billion in pension debt, and improved our state’s bond rating.

Robin is an unapologetic defender of the rights of women to control their own healthcare, and she voted to strengthen Connecticut’s commitment to protect women and their healthcare providers while they make these difficult, personal decisions.

Robin Comey delivers for Branford. She gets stuff done. If you need help with a state agency, Robin is there. If you’ve got a grievance, Robin listens and takes you seriously. She represents all of us, she’s respected on both sides of the aisle, and she deserves to be re-elected.

Please join me in supporting Robin Comey on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
