Old Saybrook voters have an important choice in November. I support Colin Heffernan to represent Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Lyme, and Old Lyme for State Representative. When picking a candidate to represent us in Hartford, we should look at how the individual has served us in the past to get an idea of how that person will represent us in the future.

Since 2013, Colin has served as a volunteer on the “nuts and bolts” committees that keep Old Saybrook running and help protect our environment. Colin has volunteered on the Old Saybrook Zoning Commission and been the chairperson of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission, as well as the Aquifer Protection Agency, for over five years. These are core functions of our town that often involve late nights and hard decisions to protect our town’s historical character and natural beauty.

Colin has also proven his commitment to improve the quality of life in our community. He’s volunteered at field day, organized 5K events for the Goodwin PTA and coached T-ball. He has served chili during Chili Fest and opened his Main Street office for hot cocoa during the Holiday Stroll.

Colin has done all this while managing a thriving law practice and raising a young family. He has the experience, skill, and character to represent us in Hartford. Please join me in voting for Colin Heffernan for Representative in the Connecticut State Legislature.
