Efforts Extend Beyond Branford

Robin Comey, running for re-election as state representative in the 102nd District, has the interests of Branford residents planted firmly in her sights. Her advocacy bridges the needs of all, from pre-schoolers to seniors. She has been at the forefront of supporting legislation to help families in the wake of the COVID pandemic, including securing vaccines for local Nepali residents and child tax credits. She has been especially committed to all aspects of education, especially early childhood education.

As a shoreline community, Branford has been impacted by storms and will be affected by rising sea levels. Robin is a member of the Coastal Caucus, a group of legislators working to manage environmental challenges faced by towns. She has also pushed to broaden recycling programs, improve waterways, and reduce air pollution by tightening emissions.

Robin is to be commended for her accessibility and ability to keep us apprised of important issues through regular correspondence and supporting local businesses and organization at their events. She is also quick to respond to constituents’ needs, most recently troubleshooting a text scam purporting to be from the state Department of Labor seeking information regarding unemployment.

In short, Robin’s efforts extend beyond Branford. The legislation she has supported will improve the lives of all Connecticut residents. By re-electing her on Tuesday, Nov. 8, voters will enable her to continue her important work.
