A Pragmatic, Thoughtful Decision-Maker

Christine Palm, has been an outstandingly effective representative for our 36th District. She knows how to represent us by effectively addressing individual constituent, district-wide, and state-wide issues while managing legislative responsibilities. Our town leaders have learned that they can count on Christine to help solve local issues that affect our daily lives by marshaling state resources. She is widely recognized as someone who is accessible and listens to all her constituents seeking help. In terms of legislation, Christine can be counted on to consider and balance her constituents’ diverse, sometimes narrowly defined, concerns with broader impact. She is a pragmatic, thoughtful decision-maker with a long list of positive, important legislative accomplishments. For example Christine worked with a group of legislators to ensure Connecticut women will continue to have the right to choose (HB54140), she worked to cut $650,000,000 in taxes (HB 5506) while investing in our economy, and she helped pass impactful environmental protection legislation.

Before becoming a Representative, Christine served 10 years as a General Assembly policy analyst and came to office having drafted laws that were enacted with strong bipartisan support. Members of both parties voted for laws that Christine helped research, draft and argue their merits to various General Assembly Committees. Today she is an experienced, accomplished and highly respected legislator. This experience is extremely valuable for our towns and for every citizen in our district.

Being a representative in this extraordinary time of divisive identity politics is not easy, but Christine understands what it means to represent our political diversity and she has done it well by working hard and conscientiously. She deserves our full and enthusiastic support for re-election. Please join me in supporting Christine Palm for re-election as our State Representative.
