The Right Person at the Right Time

It’s hard to express just how exciting it is that Andy Gottlieb is running to be our next state representative. Andy grew up in Guilford and knows the town inside and out. He combines that local knowledge with national and international experience, be it in the halls of Congress or the European Parliament. He didn’t enter politics for power or prestige; he genuinely cares about good public policy and the furtherance of our democracy.

Andy is a person of integrity who does what’s right even when it’s difficult. As a legislator, he’ll take on tough fights for the people of Connecticut: to rapidly shift our state to renewable energy, to ensure the wealthy are paying their fair share of taxes and to pursue racial justice across housing, education, criminal justice and environmental policy.

And with so many of our fundamental freedoms at stake in 2022, Andy will defend our rights with eloquence and vigor. He is staunchly pro-choice and in favor of strong gun control laws. He will ensure that Connecticut continues to be a leader on these issues.

Andy is the right person at the right time. I wholeheartedly endorse Andy Gottlieb and urge Democrats to support him in the primary on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
