Hats Off

I want to commend, and thank, Austin Hall, our Madison Beach and Recreation Director, for his superb hands-on leadership this 4th of July weekend. He personally manned the entrance at the Surf Club and checked beach stickers from morning until night the entire busy long weekend.

It was a great idea to move the beach sticker checkpoint out further to the corner of West Wharf and Surf Club Roads during this busy holiday weekend. This enabled Austin and his team to more quickly and easily wave resident vehicles with valid beach stickers in, and to tactfully turn away unauthorized vehicles and quickly direct them to turn around.

The whole operation at the Surf Club on 4th of July weekend seemed to go effortlessly. The lines of vehicles were small and Austin kept the traffic moving.

Hats off to you, Austin, for your terrific hands-on leadership. Your hard work made the 4th of July weekend at the Surf Club a smooth and even more pleasant experience!
