Recognize the Selfless Act

I would like to take a moment to recognize an associate from the North Haven BJ’s Wholesale Club. A young man, Hayden, was working as a cashier on the afternoon of June 24. There was a woman in line with several kids who already had her groceries on the belt. After some discussion between her and Hayden, I could tell that either the woman did not have a paid up membership card or had some other financial difficulty. Without any hesitation Hayden told her that he would make up the difference that the surcharge would have added. This was hard-earned money out of his pocket that he freely gave her. The woman thanked him and went on her way. This young man deserves recognition from the corporate level as well as all of us. I wish there was some way as a community that we could recognize the selfless act I witnessed today. I brought it to the attention of the manager but he deserves much more.
