Keep Our Sacred Promise

The American Legion Post 48, would like to thank the Courier for placing a photo of the Memorial Day Parade on the front page of the June 2 publication.

Guilford residents have made the ultimate sacrifice for their community and beloved country dating back to the French and Indian War. Each and everyone of them should be honored and remembered.

Moving forward I would respectfully request that the names of all our war dead be published in your publication following Memorial Day. It would be my privilege to provide you that list.

Our entire community has been touched by each lost service member. Let’s keep our sacred promise to never forget them.
