A Rare and Special Landscape

Just a thought: I know that change is inevitable, a part of life. But building condos, or whatever said cluster residential development, on The Ledges? Right here in this town that we love? I object for many reasons, including natural spaces of undeveloped and underdeveloped beauty.

Please leave that place alone—no dynamite or other such insults to that good piece of land. I believe it’s already been signed on the dotted line. I hope it’s not too late to prevent a big mistake.

Condos aren’t inherently a problem. But there? I feel for all who live (and have for a long time) there. It just isn’t right. It sure doesn’t feel right anyway.

And for what? The money? Short-term profit? For a rare and special landscape that will never be the same.

I encourage whomever is at the reins of said Ledges development to please reconsider the greater (potential salt marsh and/or other environmental and long-term) impacts.

Surely there are better ways (and places) to increase the value of our town’s Grand List.
