Short-Sighted and Thoughtless

We are very fortunate in our town to have a town gym, a senior center, two fire houses, indoor space at the Surf Club, and a gorgeous large library among places to hold voting. Closing our schools (in November) and shifting to remote (in February) for voting is absurd!

Educating our children has been particularly challenging over the past two years. To add complications that could have been easily avoided is short-sighted and thoughtless.

The selectmen have forwarded referendum plans to spend tens of millions of dollars but cannot come up with a better plan for voting places than to close school for the day. Really?

Irrespective of party affiliation and thoughts on the plans up for vote, Madison voters and our students deserve better from the leadership in this town. They should come up with a better plan for our next referendum in the spring.
