Necessary and Thoughtful Support

On Feb. 4, 2020 the parties involved in the longstanding dispute of the ownership of Crescent Bluff Avenue agreed to settle the case outside of continuing legal actions. Mrs. Barbara Saggese, owner and manager of Beachcroft, LLC, agreed to a settlement with the Town of Branford, the Pine Orchard Association, and owners of property on the Avenue. First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove and RTM leader Thomas Brockett both worked tirelessly to obtain approval of the settlement by town committees. On Aug. 11, 2020. the court ordered to summarily enforce the settlement, whereupon Beachcroft appealed that decision to the Appellate Court on Oct. 27, 2020.

This court has not yet reached a decision. I commend both Mr. Brockett and Mr. Cosgrove for their necessary and thoughtful support on our effort to return ownership of the avenue to the town.
