Very Qualified and Dedicated

I have decided not to run for the Old Saybrook Board of Finance this term. After three terms on the board, I will be stepping down to provide new members with the opportunity to serve our town on this important board. I am excited that the Old Saybrook Democratic Town Committee (OSDTC) has put forth a full slate of very qualified and dedicated candidates.

John O’Brien is a proven talent who has previously served and who is well respected for his business acumen, attention to detail, and ability to work with other members while balancing town needs with costs. Bruce Carlson is currently serving and is running to be re-elected. Bruce has governmental budgeting experience, has a strategic vision for the future of Old Saybrook, and has served admirably while filling a midterm vacancy on the board. Lynn Dallas is well respected as an active member of the pension committee and will bring this knowledge to the Board of Finance. Nicole Phaneuf, a newcomer to local politics, brings years of experience managing a financial payment business. She has also served on nonprofit boards and has lobbied state and federal government for medical research. Nicole is passionate about contributing to the betterment of Old Saybrook as a member of the Board of Finance.

I encourage voters to support all of the OSDTC candidates for the Board of Finance.
