Tradition of Public Service

I am writing to endorse Lou Annino, Jr., for selectman. Lou is carrying on his family’s tradition of public service. He has spent the majority of his adult life volunteering time to the town of Killingworth. It is this type of sacrifice and dedication that enhances the quality of life in our town. Lou is presently serving the town as a selectman; he has spent 10 years on the board, where his management experience has led to a leadership role in capital planning.

On a personal level, I have had the opportunity to work with Lou and observe the traits that make him such an asset to our town. During my tenure as chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission, I was fortunate to have Lou serve as a member. Lou was the youngest member of the commission but soon gained the respect of the veteran members with his understanding, application, and intent of the regulations. His analytical and problem-solving skills provided valuable input during deliberations. Being a native son, Lou’s unique historical perspective helped shape the regulations that have allowed growth while maintaining the rural character of Killingworth that we presently enjoy.

Having witnessed his leadership and integrity firsthand, I am confident that the thoughtful residents of Killingworth will join me in voting on Nov. 2 for Lou Annino for selectman, Jr., along with another very qualified candidate for selectman, Jamie Young.
