Schools Should Be Neutral

I first met Tim Chamberlain seven years ago, when I started attending the same church. I found him to be honest and trustworthy. He will tell you the truth and not sugarcoat his words. He is a man of few words, but what he says is always worth listening to.

Tim and his wife are raising conservative, Christian children who are not afraid to say what they believe, But some students and teachers don’t like what they have to say. In one case, Tim said classmates openly ridiculed his child’s viewpoint while the teacher stood by and did nothing to stop it. In other cases, he said teachers tried to change his children’s conservative views. Tim said his son even got three teeth chipped by another student during recess.

Every student should be afforded the opportunity to speak their mind without judgment. All points of view should be respected. Unfortunately, in Guilford, many students are afraid to speak up and silently go along with the teachers’ political views. Where is the diversity and inclusion? Is this social justice?

As a devoted and protective father, Tim decided that he had to get involved. He wants to get rid of the one-sided indoctrination that is forced upon the students. He believes that schools should be neutral environments in which to learn and share ideas, and that all students should be respected.

With his financial background, Tim will make sure that the school budget is as tight as reasonably possible, that no money is frivolously spent, and will make sure there is transparency in the spending, as well as in the classrooms.

I encourage your readers to learn about Tim and all of the Parents for Guilford Students candidates. I am proud to support Tim for the Board of Education.
