Positive and Compassionate Management

I am a Democrat and I look forward to voting on Nov 2 for Bruce Wilson for first selectman. Our local elections are about hiring the right people for the jobs of running our town. This is no place for party politics too often seen at the national level.

You might say I am biased, but as Bruce’s wife, I’ve seen firsthand the countless volunteer hours Bruce happily dedicates to his beloved hometown of Madison. For more than a decade, he has volunteered in town in many ways, from Board of Education, Madison Historical Society, Meals on Wheels, Rockland Preserve Commission (which he indulges in every weekend as an avid mountain biker), and Board of Selectmen. Bruce is always responsive to all Madison constituents regardless of party affiliation.

Bruce’s fearless integrity, hard work ethic, and depth of leadership experience make him the right person for this position right now. Bruce possesses a positive and compassionate management style, working with people and stakeholders who often have competing interests and empowering organizations to move forward and evolve.

Bruce is a forward-thinking progressive Republican. He was first to move the Academy School conversation forward by suggesting a professional poll to determine what residents wanted. He was first to identify the need to begin to plan Madison’s response to the legalization of marijuana. He was first to identify the need to address the zoning policies coming out of Hartford that impacts Madison residents.

Our town deserves leadership that sees and hears all of us. He is an experienced leader who will act and move us forward together. Our town deserves Bruce Wilson for first selectman!
