Work Ethic is Limitless

We all understand what an important role the town clerk has in Branford. That’s why I am supporting Lisa Arpin for town clerk. Lisa has been described as one of the hardest working people in Town Hall and looking at her eight years in Town Hall, it is easy to see why.

Lisa’s work ethic is limitless. She already has two certifications, Connecticut Certified Town Clerk and Certified Municipal Clerk, and is working toward becoming a master municipal clerk. Lisa works whatever hours she needs to get the job done for Branford. During the pandemic, she stepped up and hosted more than 100 Zoom meetings during nights and weekends to make sure that Branford could transition to online meetings for its essential government functions. She donates her personal time for the good of the town; it is not often that you find people willing to do that, but something we can all admire in an elected official.

As town clerk, Lisa has the responsibility to ensure that elections are managed according to state statutes and that records including birth and death certificates, real estate transactions, property liens, and dog licenses, to name a few, are processed accurately and on time. Lisa has done an outstanding job on all facets of this complex position due to her unique skill set.

Lisa has had too many accomplishments during her tenure as town clerk to list in this letter, but one of her most notable recent accomplishments was increasing her department’s revenue by almost $500,000, helping keep taxes lower for Branford residents.

Lisa Arpin truly serves the town. We are fortunate to have Lisa with her unending dedication as our town clerk. I encourage your readers to join me in supporting Lisa Arpin for two more years!
