The Experience and Vision

I am writing to encourage all Guilford residents to support Susan Renner for Board of Selectmen on Nov. 2. I have known Sue for many years, through school PTOs and religious education but most important, as a mentor on the Board of Education.

During the early days of my time on the board, Sue was a friendly face and someone I could ask questions without judgement. She looked at the facts and made her decisions using those facts. She was always willing to hear the opinions of others and do the important work in a non-partisan way.

Over the last few months, Guilford Republicans have received a lot of bad press. The primary certainly did not go the way I or my running mates hoped it would and I have concerns for the future of our party in Guilford. If there is any hope of taking back the Republican party in town, we must vote for candidates who have a holistic approach to public service and will continue to devote their time to keeping Guilford the wonderful and welcoming place I moved to 23 years ago.

Sue, Selectman Charles Havrda, and Board of Finance member Jeff Beatty have the experience and vision to accomplish this task. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Susan Renner, Charles Havrda, and Jeff Beatty on Nov. 2 for Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance.
