Grow in a Responsible Way

I am writing to introduce myself to the citizens of Old Saybrook. I have been serving on the Zoning Commission for the past three years as an alternate, and am running for a full Zoning Commission seat this year.

I am a lifelong shoreline resident, spending the last five years in Old Saybrook with my family. I grew up not far from here in Madison and was a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission there. I am a father of four, business owner, and active community participant. We chose Old Saybrook to call home because of all it had to offer us as a family.

Serving on the Zoning Commission is one of the most significant ways that I can contribute to the responsible growth in Old Saybrook. Serving on a board like the Zoning Commission is not about party politics, but about how we can come together as a community and help it grow in a responsible way. My goal for serving on the commission is to provide guidance to both businesses and residence alike on how they can be good stewards for Old Saybrook.

I believe in smart growth. I also believe that smart growth requires respecting the guidelines that have been put into place to keep the character of our town unique. I look forward to continue serving the residents of Old Saybrook for the next two years.

I encourage your readers to stop me at any time and ask questions. I love to engage in conversation about how we can continue to make Old Saybrook amazing.
