Experience, Collaboration, and Knowledge
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, First Selectman Lauren Gister and Selectman Charlene Janecek are asking voters to support their fourth term serving Chester.
Over the past six years they have successfully completed projects such as Main Street improvements, North Quarter Park playscape, Cherry Hill Housing renovations, Meeting House preservation and new floor, Chester Elementary School’s solar electric system, and conversion of town streetlights to energy-efficient LEDs. During the past year and a half the selectmen focused on the challenges of COVID-19, addressing residents’ health and safety with initiation of the Chester vaccine program and the Chester Community Partnership.
Experience, collaboration, and knowledge of governmental operations are the qualities these incumbents bring to the service of Chester’s residents and businesses. Working together for Chester first ensures the resilient qualities and vitality of our community prevail. I encourage your readers to exercise their right to vote; our democracy and Chester are stronger when everyone participates.
