Dedication to Accuracy and Authenticity

I am writing in support of Joan Angelini for town clerk of Westbrook. I have lived in Westbrook for more than 20 years. I have coached basketball in the town, both as a travel basketball coach and now as an assistant to the Westbrook varsity coach for 19 years, and I have been the varsity tennis coach for the past six years. I am currently a deputy associate attorney general in the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office and as such my section represents the Department of Public Health, Office of Vital Records. I am keenly aware of the importance of the authenticity and accuracy of vital records and of the town’s records generally.

Joan has done an incredible job as town clerk for the past 16 years. Her level of enthusiasm and her commitment to the town has never wavered. Her dedication to the accuracy and authenticity of the town’s records is admirable, and her handling of the absentee ballots during the pandemic helped ensure that every vote was properly recorded.

I am personal friends with Joan. I know her character. I fully support her desire to continue to serve Westbrook. I know she is committed doing the job with integrity and a commitment to everyone in town. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Joan on Nov. 2 of this year.
