Commitment, Compassion, and Integrity
I am writing to endorse Jamie Cosgrove for first selectman. As an RTM member for three years representing the 7th District, I have had an inside view of the progress within the Town of Branford. I have been honored to be part of this progress being led by a man with true passion for this town.
Jamie has shown commitment, compassion, and integrity. I encourage everyone to avoid the drama and just look around. Our accomplishments, from town development, Health and Human Services support, the library, Walsh Intermediate School, and the community center to the open space conservation, solar farm, and first-in-the-state coastal resiliency fund speaks for itself. Yes, taxes do go up, but what is not mentioned that the nominal average of 1.5 percent per year has covered all the services requested by the majority of neighbors but also to cover unfunded state mandates. They also cover contractual increase in salaries to maintain quality teachers, police, fire, and town employees, a raise Jamie has never taken in his eight years.
So I encourage your readers to help to continue support of our amazing town by voting for Jamie and his Cosgrove team. The 7th District has moved back to the new Walsh Intermediate School for voting and will enter from the new entrance in the rear of the building. Again, it is an honor to represent my neighbors in the 7th District.
Republican Kevin Healy is seeking re-election to the RTM District 7.
