10/13/2021 08:00 AMI write this letter with unceasing support for Democratic candidate Mr. Tom Brockett for first selectman of Branford. From the halls of naval boats to the hall that is our town government, Mr. Brockett has held service as amongst the highest of values.
A lifelong Branford resident, Mr. Brockett has attended some of Connecticut’s best schools, Wesleyan and UConn Law School. He followed this up by a successful labor law career, assisting clients, then gaining extensive experience on the Representative Town Meeting (RTM). He is intelligent and well-informed, yet is relatable and down-to-earth.
While I am supporting Republicans for various other positions, Mr. Tom Brockett has strong, bipartisan sentiments, such that he will have the imagination for Branford’s future of a Gott, combined with the sense of dedication to the town of a DaRos. Mr. Brockett is in fact a new Democrat, who avidly supports lower taxes along with careful spending. He will work hard for open space, more parking, and greater transparency, as well as communication in our town government, while making himself abundantly accessible.
Mr. Brockett is the right person at this right time to honor Branford’s past, yet equally in significance offering a vision for the days ahead. I encourage your readers to thoughtfully consider their votes for Branford’s first selectman.
