Spending Wisely and Efficiently

I am writing this as a six-year member of the Westbrook Board of Finance who is not up for reelection this November. In my time on the board and with the town under the leadership of the Westbrook Republicans, we have been able to keep taxes low and debt very much under control, yet maintaing and increase services to the community. In order to continue, I encourage your readers to vote for Paul Winch and Karl Gelotte, two members of the Hall/Campbell Republican team who will continue these efforts into the future.

Paul is a present member of the Board of Finance who has been active in other town activities including Buddy Baseball, the library board, and presently serving as chair of the Westbrook Foundation. Like many other members of the Hall/Campbell Team, Paul spends many hours helping move Westbrook forward.

Karl is a recently retired executive at Pfizer, Inc., who headed up its drug product development effort. He will bring a solid financial background and unique perspective to our Board of Finance. He is currently a member of Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission and the land conservation trust in Westbrook.

Paul and Karl both believe strongly in holding the line on tax increases and spending wisely and efficiently on budget priorities within our means.

I encourage your readers to join me in giving your support to Paul, Karl, and the entire Hall/Campbell team in this election.
