Responsiveness and Caring

I am writing in support of Jamie Cosgrove in the election for Branford’s first selectman. As a member of the Branford Commission on Conservation and the Environment, I have been impressed by Mr. Cosgrove’s enthusiastic support of environmental causes for our town.

In my experience working with the commission over the course of the last year, Jamie has provided for town resources to assist in our efforts to remove invasive plants from town property along the Shoreline Greenway Trail and infill these areas with new native species trees and understory plants. In conversation with other environmentally active citizens from the Branford Land Trust to the garden club, similar examples of responsiveness and caring from the First Selectman’s Office are common themes.

In today’s political climate across our country, we in Branford are fortunate to have a political leader who avoids divisiveness and sensational party rhetoric, who can work with people on both sides of the aisle, and truly has the best interest of our town at heart. I am pleased to cast my vote for Jamie Cosgrove and encourage others to do the same.
