Make Good Things Happen

The three Democratic candidates for Clinton’s Town Council have very different backgrounds, but there is one critical trait they share: a commitment to getting things done.

Carrie Allen started volunteering almost immediately after moving to town several years ago. She serves on the Sustainability Committee and the Clinton Historical Society, as well as being an administrator for the Celebrate Clinton Facebook page. If you want to know how much of an impact she’s had, just ask the folks with the Food for All Garden, the Bike and Pedestrian Alliance, and the Arts Council.

Paul Gebauer grew up in Madison and decided to make Clinton his home. He chaired the original Sustainability Committee. He started and chairs the Energy Committee and was instrumental in getting solar panels installed at Jared Eliot and the Joel schools. He is currently working with Eversource to address energy consumption in order to benefit local businesses.

Chris Passante grew up in and attended public schools in Clinton. He has an MBA in finance and would bring much-needed expertise to the budget process. The father of seven active children, Chris has volunteered to coach sports teams too numerous to mention. This native son wants to play a role in Clinton’s social and economic progress.

I encourage your readers to vote Row A on Nov. 2 and give these dynamic candidates a chance to do what they do best: make good things happen for Clinton.
