Did you know that Old Saybrook is not only a beautiful place to live but is routinely cited as one of the best-run towns in the state? Most of the credit can be given to what is primarily a Republican run panel of selectmen, boards, and commissions who have thoughtfully managed the spending and investment on things that matter to the community, e.g. education, public safety, infrastructure, recreation, conservation, etc.

These boards and commissions are composed of outstanding people who give hundreds of hours of volunteer service to the citizens of Old Saybrook in support of maintaining the town of which we are so proud. Once again, the slate of 2021 Republican candidates is noteworthy for the depth of their professional experience and dedication to Old Saybrook. It is a group of volunteers who understand that teamwork across the aisle will improve each other’s ideas and deliver even better results.

Our Republican candidates view collaboration as the key to problem solving rather than combative rhetoric and glass half full divisiveness. I encourage your readers to mark their calendars to vote on Nov. 2, and I encourage them to keep our town running effectively and efficiently by voting Republican.
