07/28/2021 08:00 AMWildlife rehabilitator Eunice DeMond is a person who makes Guilford a town that cares. In just two examples, she took in an injured baby rabbit from my neighbor’s yard, and she carefully removed and relocated a five-foot blacksnake that was scaring kids on my lakeside deck. She has been a much-loved Guilford institution for over a decade—but now, newcomers want to wipe her out.
We can’t wipe Eunice out; she is one of the people who make Guilford special. She makes our town a caring town—even if you’re an injured rabbit or a big black snake.
