A Worthy Challenge

As a resident of Guilford faced with voting for a new town budget, and for that budget to include a part-time equity liaison for the school district, I will wholeheartedly vote “Yes.” We have the opportunity to begin a long, sometimes difficult, but ultimately rewarding process of teaching equity to the children in our schools. I do not believe that this should be viewed as threat but as a worthy challenge, both for students, teachers, and parents.

Prosperity and opportunity (financial, social, political, and spiritual) for our town and country can be the fruit of such necessary and democratic work.
