Kindness and Care

I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to town officials and employees for ramping up the mobile vaccine units and delivering a vaccine to my elderly mother, who is ill and housebound. She would have otherwise been unable to secure protection from COVID-19.

I thank First Selectman Peggy Lyons for her responsiveness and implementation of this service to our town. Also, I am grateful to Senior Services Director Austin Hall and Assistant Senior Services Manager Heather Noblin for tirelessly navigating the sign-up process for senior citizens to be able to access the vaccine. Health Director Trent Joseph and Chris Bernier of Madison Ambulance were so helpful in making this happen. I am appreciative of the two EMTs who accompanied a nurse from the East Shore Health Department to my mom’s apartment, and displayed such kindness and care when administering her vaccine. They made her feel comfortable and patiently waited with her to ensure there were no after-effects.

I feel so thankful to live in Madison, a community of so many caring people.
