Not in Harmony

I am writing to voice opposition to the proposed cluster housing development plan known as The Ledges slated for 856 Boston Post Road in the middle of Madison. It is the wrong plan for the site.

My reasons are as follows: The plan is disruptive to the community and will result in numerous environment and safety risks. There are associated cost burdens both explicit and implicit with this plan which fall ultimately to the surrounding community.

The plan is inconsistent with the parameters of the regulation and is not in harmony with the character of the surrounding community.

Due to the significant risks associated with the required blasting and removal of large amount of rock ledge, the plan in its current state will not be the final plan implemented. It will destroy the natural environmental beauty of the ledges and its historic character.

I urge the town and the Planning & Zoning Commission to say ‘no’ to this plan.
