Civility Will Return

We are writing to say thank you to State Representative Sean Scanlon (D-98) and State Representative Vincent Candelora (R-86) for demonstrating the importance of restoring political civility through their Feb. 3 forum Restoring Political Civility–A Bipartisan Conversation.

In a time when political divisions have separated families, friends, and neighbors, we could not have been more proud to live in a town represented by these two men. The conversation between Sean and Vin was genuine and Liza Petra did a great job of moderating. Three hundred people attended the conversation that night and it is our fervent hope that civility will return to our civic dialogs. We thank them both for modeling ways that we can disagree without being disagreeable.
