A Bad Choice

I can’t be the only one who was surprised and disappointed to see the photo of some sledders on the cover of the Feb. 11 paper. Unless something has changed in the last few weeks, sledding at the Guilford Lakes Golf Course is unambiguously prohibited. It is not public property and putting some people joyfully ignoring this fact on the front page was a bad choice for multiple reasons.

Editor’s note: Thanks to this letter, the Courier learned that the town does prohibit sledding on the golf course, which is public property, though there were no signs indicating that prohibition that were visible to our photographer.
