Professionalism Was Perfection

As an RN in Westbrook, I was fortunate enough to secure a appointment for the first of my COVID vaccinations on Jan. 9. I chose to obtain my vaccination from the Connecticut River Area Health District (CRAHD) at the Old Saybrook Middle School.

On the morning of Jan. 9, I was met by representatives from the Old Saybrook Police Department checking identifications. I was happy I could stay in my car because it was 22 degrees outside. I followed the well-marked signs and then answered a few questions from cheerful, bundled-up staff members regarding my present health (no cold symptoms, no alllergies, etc). I remained in my vehicle and my shot was administered by a pleasant gentleman wearing shorts. Did I mention that it was 22 degrees outside? I then stayed in a car line for 15 minutes to be sure I suffered no immediate side effects.

The organization was phenomenal. The professionalism was perfection.

Huge thanks go to CRAHD and the Saybrook Police Department.
