A Shopping Bag of Love

How fortunate I am to live in Guilford. Meals on Wheels, under the capable direction of Christi Burton, delivered a shopping bag of love to me on Christmas morning. It was delivered by the wonderful volunteers, who took away time from their family to do this good deed.

The bag contained items donated by various Guilford businesses as well as a chicken dinner and pie. A long-stemmed pink rose donated by the Guilford White House florist was peeking out from the top of the bag. The many handmade cards created by Guilford children were also so appreciated by me.

So many lessons were taught and learned. Guilford seniors share their thanks and appreciation for all that was done for them by Larry Santamaria and staff, wonderful volunteers, and children.
