A Heartfelt Thanks

A heartfelt thank you is extended from Meals on Wheels to all the volunteers and drivers who assisted in the delivery of meals on Thanksgiving morning.

A special thank you goes to Mrs. Teresa Donarumo’s art classes at Calvin Leete School, which created wonderful Thanksgiving cards and to Mrs. Barbara Catlin for her assistance in coordinating the effort at the school and to the children at Melissa Jones School for their lovely cards.

A total of 122 meals were delivered by 14 drivers to 85 homes.

Many others contributed to the success of the project including the Bovee family with sanitizers/crafts, Hugh and Finn Henry with decorating Thanksgiving bags, White House Florist with carnations, the South Whitfield Neighborhood Association with hot cocoa and crafts, Fresh Market with fruit, the Baldwin Middle School Club for Causes with cards, and especially Chef Larry Santamaria and the Community Center Kitchen Staff who prepared all the meals.
