Tradition of Community Service

Thanks go to John Hall, who stepped up for our 35th District (including northern Westbrook, Clinton, and Killingworth) state representative seat in the upcoming election on Nov. 3. He has compassion for those in need and listens to his constituents before he acts on their behalf. He supports our police and first responders and will bring a farmer’s sensibility to our state government.

His family has a tradition of community service dating back to 1635 in Westbrook. They own and operate Maple Breeze Farm in a humane, environmentally friendly and carbon-neutral setting. Nothing is wasted and everyone steps up when work needs to get done. As chairman of the Connecticut Farm Bureau, he knows the people and processes at the Capitol and how to get good laws passed.

He currently serves on the Board of Selectmen in Westbrook (since 2009). Past service includes Zoning Board of Appeals as chairman from 1983 to 2009, Westbrook Foundation from 1997 to 2007, moderator for the Westbrook Congregational Church 2007 to 2015, president of Artech Water Systems, and Board of Directors for the Connecticut Farm Bureau of Middlesex County.
