Solutions, Not Acquiescence

Sleepy leaders who promote the status quo were fine in the past. Now we need representatives at the state level who will protect our access to healthcare, build our communities, and support small businesses over huge conglomerates.

Fortunately, we have a once-in-a-generation candidate for Democratic state representative in the 23rd District: Dave Rubino. Dave has passion, energy, and a breadth of experience and knowledge that voters at the state level don’t often get to choose. Yes, he has deep roots in our towns. He is a small business owner in Lyme, father to two girls, and husband to a Madison school teacher. But Dave also has decades of experience as a lawyer in the U.S. and internationally, fighting for individuals who are standing up against oppressive governments and companies.

This year is not going to get any easier. Westbrook and the other towns are going to find ourselves short on tax revenue, short on good jobs, and long on debt and disease. We need solutions, not acquiescence. Dave Rubino has the creative ideas, energy, and passion to tackle these problems.
