We often have local business owners run for office, but rarely do we have a local business owner running to represent the 23rd Assembly District with a background like Dave Rubino.

The more I have learned about Dave Rubino, the more I realized what a gift his background would be in representing the 23rd District. He brings a level of knowledge and insight that our towns will need to address as we face issues such as climate change, education, health care, racism, affordable housing, and keeping businesses going through the hard times that COVID-19 has caused.

We rarely have a candidate, like Dave Rubino, who can say that he has, as a lawyer, litigated national voting rights cases, represented groups like the NAACP, UnidosUS, and the League of Women Voters in cases aimed to ensure fair and equal ballot access to all citizens.

I voted absentee today. I was proud to make my vote for Dave Rubino.
