A Real Fighter

We longtime Westbrook residents have fond memories of Art and Jean Carney. They were kind people and part of our Westbrook community. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree with their grandson, State Representative Devin Carney (R-23). He always looks out for Westbrook’s best interests and does what he can to ensure our quality of life is strong.

Devin has always been very supportive of our marine and tourism industries. He was recently recognized by the Connecticut Marine Trades Association with its Honorary Crew Member award for his advocacy on behalf of marinas. Our marine economy is vital to our local fiscal health, so I am glad we have someone on our side.

Devin also advocates for our local tourist attractions, hotels, small businesses, and restaurants. Westbrook is home to Water’s Edge, one of the largest resort-hotels in the state, and the Lee Company, among other major employers. Devin has always communicated with these businesses, and others, to ensure our local employers are heard.

I hope your readers will join me in supporting Devin Carney for re-election. He is a real fighter for Westbrook.
