Talented, Intelligent, and Dedicated

As a Madison resident who has known John-Michael Parker for nearly 10 years, I wholeheartedly endorse and support his candidacy for state representative for the 101st District. John-Michael Parker is a talented, intelligent, and dedicated teacher who is running again as the Democratic candidate, after a very narrow loss in 2018.

John-Michael Parker persisted in his goal to be state representative and his commitment to public service and determination to make a difference, as cornerstones of his character, are readily evident to anyone who knows him. He is honest, smart, and energetic and highly motivated to ably represent the 101st District. As an educator, his ideas are consistent with science, particularly regarding public health, a rational COVID policy, and concerns for the environment. He is committed to preserving the quality of life of the shoreline communities and has made Madison his home after growing up here. John-Michael has the ethical foundation to his character that, in addition to his Yale education, will serve him well as a fresh source of new ideas and energy to our district.

Many people in the country feel we are in need of a change in our legislators. We are in need of a change in representation, and new, ethically informed representation is overdue. John-Michael Parker has earned my confidence and trust. I am extremely confident in his abilities to lead effectively, develop consensus, and be resourceful and flexibly proactive, rather than reactive in his thinking. He has earned my vote.
