Really Valuable Perspective

I am incredibly proud to endorse Christine Cohen (D) for state senator of the 12th District, not just because of her excellent first term, but because of the incredible roots and investment she has in our district. Senator Cohen has a really valuable perspective as a legislator. Her track record from her first term resonated with me in many ways.

She has been an absolute beacon of hope amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Christine broadened state access to telehealth services, and provides daily updates to her constituents on the status of testing, and the positivity numbers within her district. Transparency and fact-based governance are two strong values of mine, and Senator Cohen holds those beliefs in high regard.

Senator Cohen has championed the environment in many legislative actions throughout her time in Hartford. She has helped pass a plastic bag ban in the state budget, which will keep an incredible amount of waste out of our landfills and reduce our state’s carbon footprint. With the effects of global warming ever increasing in severity, it’s refreshing to know that I have a senator in Hartford who is fighting for the environment each and every day.

While I certainly align with Senator Cohen on her legislative actions, what really sets her apart for me is her experience as a businesswoman. Christine’s small business experience gives her a firsthand understanding of what it takes to allow small businesses to thrive, and we all know small businesses are the lifeblood of our district.

Senator Christine Cohen penned smart legislation that is environmentally conscious and supportive of all of the citizens of the 12th District and cultivated a strong environment for small businesses to thrive. This perfect legislative combination is why I am so excited to vote to send Senator Christine Cohen back to Hartford.
