Positive Economic Climate

I have been a registered Democrat since I was first able to vote, which was many years ago. I have always examined the candidates and have often split my ballot even at the presidential level. I may have very partisan views this election year but I am making an exception and voting for Devin Carney (R) to return as state representative for the 23rd Assembly District.

I feel he is someone who is willing to work across the aisle to get the best bills passed, which is something we sorely need in this climate. As a senior, I appreciate his advocacy on issues that address our concerns. His voting record reflects his commitment to creating a positive economic climate in Connecticut for everyone, to control state spending, and oppose new taxes. These are not Red or Blue issues.

We need him to continue his efforts on our behalf in Hartford. I’m hoping other Democrats feel the same and will join me in voting for Devin Carney by Nov. 3.
