New Breed of Leadership

I first met John-Michael Parker professionally as a educator working with him on a project within New Haven Public Schools. I found him to be a man of vision and energy who was very focused on results and outcomes. Obstacles didn’t dissuade him but rather moved him to be practical and strategic. He also clearly knew how to work well with a broad range of individuals keeping them engaged.

All of these qualities will serve him well as our representative for the 101st Assembly District. As a senior citizen and grandfather, I feel very strongly that we need to support a new generation of leadership in Hartford and across the nation that will tackle problems in new ways. If we are going to make progress on the issues our children and grandchildren will face, it can’t be business as usual. This is a compelling reason to support a smart, energetic new breed of leadership and John-Michael Parker fits that description. He sees public service as precisely that, serving the public rather than a privileged few.

I am encouraging my friends and neighbors to look to the future and support John-Michael Parker.
