Integrity and Skills

Every interaction with John-Michael Parker shows his integrity and skills crucial to successful work in Hartford, and his simple love and protectiveness of what makes our town and state all it is.

I’ve worked with John-Michael as a mentor for the Madison A Better Chance program and as a board member at Women & Family Life Center. He generously shares his expertise in support of these organizations. His respect for and commitment to those who have not had the same opportunities he has had is sincere and longstanding. I expect nothing less of him when he is our representative.

I’ve also worked with John-Michael in his role on the board for Madison Youth & Family Services. Youth interns are instrumental to his campaign! He is committed to the wellbeing of our youth and supports, includes, and empowers them. John-Michael is the director of an arts teaching program for students across the state, again demonstrating his commitment to youth, education, and the value of rich arts programs.

John-Michael faced myriad challenges and opportunities as part of the design committee for the Academy School project, displaying his community building skills once again. Earlier in COVID, he knew he was less vulnerable than other members of our community and went marketing for seniors in town, and he has worked with the Meals-On-Wheels program, too.

John-Michael and his partner Joyce just bought a house in town. They are here for the long haul, to raise their family here, to keep working for all of us, and to be leaders and shareholders in all we hold dear in Madison. John-Michael is a natural community builder, an open-minded problem solver, and just what we need during these challenging times. I will proudly vote for John-Michael Parker for state representative and encourage your readers to, as well.
