Hard Work and Commitment

It’s been just under two years since I submitted a letter to your publication. As I did two years ago, I am once again writing to express my support for State Representative Joe Zullo (R-99).

I am a life-long Democrat and I enjoyed a long career working as a special assistant to multiple congresspeople and, most notably, U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman. In addition, I served locally as a campaign manager for former long-time state representative Mike Lawlor and as a special advisor to our late, great mayor Hank Luzzi.

After working in government for more than 20 years, I know hard work and commitment when I see it. State Rep. Joe Zullo not only hard-working, he is a life-long East Havener who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our community through his civic and volunteer work. He gives freely and generously of his time, even when he is busy fighting for us in Hartford.

In addition, Joe is a strong advocate in Hartford. Joe works with both ends of the political spectrum in a spirit of cooperation. Locally, Joe works collaboratively with Mayor Joe Carfora, a Democrat, along with his staff to better our community. During the most recent pandemic, I witnessed firsthand how Joe reached out to Mayor Carfora to provide needed masks to the elderly residents at Woodview and East Farms Village.

In closing, Joe Zullo is a good man and has my unwavering support. I encourage readers to support Sate Rep. Joe Zullo and to send him back to our State Capitol for another two years.
