Energy and Commitment

I felt compelled to write a letter in support of re-electing State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87). This is not because he came to my aid on a specific issue or incident, but because I wanted to make citizens aware of the many years Dave has spent serving the community of North Haven.

Dave grew up in North Haven where he raised three children and started a small local business. He always promoted worthy causes before he even considered entering politics. He served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserve and continued his support of others who served by championing multiple veteran causes.

More locally, Dave was a 16 year volunteer for the Boy Scouts and went on to co-found North Haven Boy Scout Troop 811, coached girl’s softball and boy’s Max Sinoway baseball teams, taught an adult education history class at Gateway Community College; mentored a youth group, lent a helping hand to adults with special needs, and volunteered his time at emergency shelters and soup kitchens.

Representative Dave Yaccarino does not simply talk the talk. He actually walks the talk. We need to return Dave with his energy and commitment to Hartford. He has earned your readers’ votes on Nov. 3.
