Better, More United

I have known John-Michael Parker for more than 20 years and grew up alongside him in Madison. One thing I would like voters in our district to know is that John-Michael has always brought people together. First in our schools, now in our community, he has always promoted inclusion and kindness while demonstrating intelligence and approachability.

Now, more than ever, we need someone who will bring others together. If given the chance, I know he will create reform and enact the change we need at the state level. And John-Michael will not just talk about change, he will actively lead the charge and make change happen.

John-Michael’s community service, his work in education, his part in creating an educational non-profit, his fight against injustice, his endless hours of giving back to our community’s music programs, and his mentorship of youth are all ways in which he has already proven that he is the right person for the job. As a public school special education teacher, these are the qualities I look for in the leaders of my community.

It is rare that someone comes along in your life as motivated, kind, thoughtful, creative, and intelligent as John-Michael. I will be voting for John-Michael for our state representative on Tuesday, Nov. 3, because he will help build a better, more united Connecticut that works for all.
