10/14/2020 08:00 AMI support State Representative Christine Palm (D) for re-election to the 36th District. As a grandmother, nothing concerns me more than the world we will leave our grandchildren. I believe our votes will affect their future far more than it will affect older constituents such as myself. The policies and decisions made by our legislators in the coming years will affect their lives for decades.
Christine Palm cares about protecting our environment and educating our children about the climate crisis. She will continue to fight for equal rights and justice for all. She cares about the health of our community, especially seniors who are most at risk during this COVID pandemic. She has reached out to her constituents, assisting them with job loss, health insurance, and state-funded assistance programs. She regularly called and continues to reach out to residents, responding to their fears and concerns. She fought for absentee ballot voting so we could all vote safely this election.
Christine Palm has stepped up during this health crisis that has changed our lives in so many ways. I believe this is the most important election year of my lifetime and as a woman, a mother, and a grandmother, I want to be certain that my representative represents all of the things I care about. Christine Palm is an amazingly strong, confident, intelligent, empathetic, compassionate leader. Her life experiences have made her more than competent for the responsibility of this job.
I’m so grateful that we have such an extraordinarily qualified representative to represent the citizens of Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Haddam. I support Christine Palm and I encourage your readers to, too.
