More Qualified to Serve

The voters in Clinton, Killingworth, and northern Westbrook, the 35th House District, will be voting for a new legislator to take the seat of retiring State Representative Jesse MacLachlan (R-35). I will be voting for John Hall to become the new state representative for the 35th District.

I have known John since our childhood and I have watched what he has accomplished as a businessman running a small company and at the same time operating a successful farm. John not only managed his own farm, which he grew up on, he has been successful in passing legislation in Hartford that has benefited the farming industry.

More then a farmer and a small businessman, John has served in many capacities in our community and the state. He has served our town as the chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals and is currently a member of the Board of Selectman.

It is very important that the person we choose be reflective of us as a community and of all those things we hold dear. John Hall is a person who understands how supporting law enforcement is paramount to our public safety. He also understands that a clean Long Island Sound and a healthy environment are essential to our way of life. As a farmer and a businessman he understands that smart spending and taxing needs to be put in place in Hartford.

There is no doubt that John is more qualified to serve us than the others seeking this office, so I encourage your readers to join me in my support of John Hall for state representative in the 35th District.
