GAs a proud member of the small business community of Branford, I enthusiastically endorse Christine Cohen for another term as 12th District state senator.

As the owner of Cohen’s Bagel Company, Christine knows first-hand how small businesses have been devastated by the pandemic. She has worked hard to connect small businesses with state and federal resources so our thriving small business community can keep their lights on and employees paid. She has pledged to work to expand tax credits and forgivable loans for the business community as we continue to weather the storm.

Even before the pandemic hit, Christine proved herself a friend to small business. In her first term, she helped eliminate the business startup tax, ridding new businesses of an unnecessary financial burden. She also proposed a public option to alleviate health care costs for small business owners. Christine has the real-life experience to craft good legislation, and the drive to see it through.

We need energetic and informed leadership in Hartford. I look forward to casting my vote for Christine this November; I hope your readers join me.
